Intuition is the ability to understand or know something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning. It’s often described as a “gut feeling” or an instinctive sense that guides decisions and perceptions. Unlike logical thinking, which relies on analysis and evidence, intuition is more subconscious and spontaneous.

In my retrofuturistic assemblage object Intuition I symbolize Intuition with the spark plugs, the light filament and the butterfly on the doll`s head, with the old light bulb in the belly, the tools on the hands and the rollers as feets.

Intuition is like a lightning

Additional information 

• The doll, called ‘Strampelchen’ (a baby that kicks its legs), manufactured by the German company Schildkröt is made of celluloid.
• A neon glow lamp is a gas-discharge lamp. The lamp typically contains a mixture of neon and other gases at a low pressure and two electrodes (an anode and a cathode). When sufficient voltage is applied between the electrodes, the lamp produces an orange glow discharge.
