My current subject is the creative upcycling of historical electrical devices, which were manufactured before the 1960s, into unique lamps and light objects.
I give the old devices a new and active life. This is my small contribution to sustainability and the careful use of resources. I respect and admire the beautiful design and craftsmanship of the original "makers".
I don't do series production: each object becomes a special unicum. I prefer maximum variety instead of efficient series.
Make it work: It's the healthy mix that does it: perfectionism and pragmatism, creative solutions instead of the sledgehammer approach.
I don't have commercial interests: I create the objects for myself and give them away to family & friends. I enjoy the freedom to be creative without pressure or limitations (time, effort,
money, sellability).
My fulfilment comes from the creative creation process, the challenges mastered, the joy of the result and the pride in a special work.
